Hon. Lorenzo Arredondo

Judge Arredondo is a judge in the Lake Circuit Court. He previously served as Judge of the Lake County Court. Judge Arredondo has been a leader and innovator in the Indiana court system. He is the former President of the Hispanic National Bar Association and for many years he served on the faculty of the prestigious National Judicial College. He is an advocate for minority rights and equality, and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Indiana Equal Justice Fund as well as the Indiana Supreme Court’s Commission on Race and Gender Fairness. Chief Justice Shepard appointed Judge Arredondo to serve on the Indiana Conference on Legal Education Opportunity (ICLEO) program.
Some of his many achievements include his work in the development of the Indiana Child Support Guidelines and the Parenting Time Guidelines that are the statewide standards in Indiana. He created the Family Division of the Circuit Court, the Domestic Relations Bureau and the Children’s Room, which provides a “safe haven” for children whose parents/caregivers, must appear in any court or conduct business anywhere in the Lake County government center. |
