Michael P. Bishop


  Mr. Bishop is a partner with the firm Drewry Simmons & Vornehm, LLP in Indianapolis.  His main areas of practice include:  commercial and corporate civil litigation, products liability, construction litigation, probate and trust, mediation and arbitration and adoption law.

Mr. Bishop attended Metropolitan State College in Denver, Colorado and earned his law degree at the Indiana University School of Law – Indianapolis.  He is admitted to the Indiana Supreme Court; the U.S. District Court, Southern and Northern Districts; the U.S. Court of Appeals, Seventh Circuit; and the U.S. Supreme Court.

He served as a law clerk to the Honorable James E. Noland, U.S. District Court, Southern District of Indiana and is a Fellow of the Indiana Bar Foundation; a Distinguished Fellow of the Indianapolis Bar Foundation; a Fellow of the American College of Civil Trial Mediators, a Fellow of the American Academy of Adoption Attorneys and is a Registered Civil Mediator.

In addition, Mr. Bishop is a member of the Indianapolis Law Club; the Defense Research Institute; the Defense Trial Counsel of Indiana; the Estate Planning Council of Indianapolis and the Sagamore American Inn of Court.  He is also a member of the Indianapolis Bar Association, past secretary; the Indiana State Bar Association, past member of the Board of Governors and former chair of the ADR Section; the Seventh Circuit Bar Association, past chair of the ADR Section; and served on the Board of Directors of the Indiana Continuing Legal Education Forum.
